Needle and hook sizes
Depending on where you got your pattern from, you might find that the needle or hook sizes aren’t what you expect. This is especially common with older patterns or ones you’ve bought online.
Or maybe you’ve had your needles for a long time and the sizes on them don’t match what you’re finding in modern patterns.
There are actually three different types of sizes, and the chart below will help you convert between them.
